Redlands City Council approved a $475,000 settlement resolving a lawsuit by a police forensic specialist who alleged sexual harassment, retaliation and a cover-up involving former Deputy Chief Michael Reiss. Read more here:

Educators Cali Binks and Alex Vara will advance to the November election for San Bernardino County superintendent of schools, according to unofficial final election results.
San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus won reelection outright, while Rancho Cucamonga City Council member Ryan Hutchison won the race for county auditor-controller. Both candidates received a majority of the vote, avoiding the general election in November.

Neighboring San Bernardino also held municipal elections Tuesday. Incumbent Mayor Helen Tran won reelection with 54.6% of the vote against five challengers.

🚨 A case that prompted a public search has ended safely. Redlands police announced that Aurora Brunner, 13, and Lexi Boykin, 14, who were reported missing in May, were located May 30 with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

❄️ Disney's Frozen is coming to the Redlands Bowl. The beloved Broadway musical will headline the Bowl's 103rd Summer Music Festival, which opens June 19 with Yacht Rock Symphony featuring Ambrosia and John Ford Coley. 🎭 The Redlands Theatre Festival has unveiled its 2026 summer season, featuring five productions ranging from farce and musical comedy to contemporary theater. The lineup also includes two New Works showcases and a Teen Music Workshop concert at the Prospect Park amphitheater. The season runs June 26 through Aug. 1. Read more here:

🎓 Redlands High School senior Jiarui Li received a $50,000 Edison International scholarship, a STEM-based scholarship that will help fund her studies at Princeton University. Li hopes to use her future education to help make technology more accessible for people of all ages. Read more here:

🥎 The University of Redlands softball team won its first-ever NCAA Division III national championship Wednesday with a 7-6 win over defending national champion Trine University of Indiana. Read more about the game and standout players here:

⚽ Redlands FC had a comeback win against Capo FC Wednesday evening. In the 18th minute, they were down 3-0 but the Redlands team rallied with four goals to secure the win. 🏃♂️ Four Citrus Belt League athletes reached California's biggest high school track and field stage this spring, but none advanced to the state finals in Clovis. Their performances nevertheless capped remarkable seasons highlighted by school records, league championships and some of the best marks ever produced at Redlands East Valley, Beaumont and Yucaipa high schools. Young artists filled the Youth Art Expo tent Saturday at the Redlands Festival of Arts, where more than 140 students from across the Inland Empire showcased paintings, sculptures and even digital artwork. From kindergarten painters to high school illustrators, students proudly viewed their work while organizers announced awards recognizing creativity, imagination and artistic skill.
