This year's election will feature redrawn maps after Prop 50 passed in 2025. Redlands is divided between Congressional Districts 23 and 33, and both incumbents are up for reelection in crowded primary races.

The San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder and District Attorney races are uncontested this year.

What's the job: A Redlands city council member is responsible for setting policy priorities, passing ordinances, shaping the city's long-term vision and representing the community's interests.
The council provides oversight on municipal services, budgets and directs the city manager, who oversees day-to-day operations in the city.
The City Council is made up of five representatives chosen to represent their districts. City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. (closed session) and 6:00 p.m. (open session) at the City of Redlands, City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon Street. On the ballot: Redlands City Council seats for Districts 1, 3 and 5 are up for election on Nov. 3, 2026.

What's the job: The Redlands Unified School District Board of Education sets policies, oversees the district budget and works with the superintendent to guide the direction of local schools. Board members represent students, families and the community while helping ensure schools meet state and federal requirements.
According to the district, board priorities include academic achievement, fiscal responsibility, attracting and retaining quality employees, and creating opportunities for all students to participate fully.
Candidates must live in the trustee area where they are running. Board members serve four-year terms.
On the ballot: Redlands Unified School Board of Trustee seats for areas 1 and 2 are up for election on Nov. 3, 2026.
