REDLANDS, Calif. – The Redlands Unified School District Board of Education will meet Tuesday to consider a range of operational, facilities and educational items ahead of the start of the 2026-27 school year. Topics include a district presentation on artificial intelligence, approval of annual School Plans for Student Achievement, Measure D-funded campus projects and discussion of two policies related to parental rights and student information.

Trustees will consider approving School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs) for all district schools for the 2026-27 academic year.
The plans are specific to each school site and operate on a one-year term. Beginning this year, eligible high schools will also receive Title I funding to support strategies identified through their needs assessments and improvement plans.
The board will consider accepting $1.17 million in California Adult Education Program funding through the San Bernardino Community College District Adult Education Consortium.
The funding supports programs operated through Redlands Adult School and helps the district provide adult education services, workforce development opportunities and partnerships through the regional America's Job Center system. The funding level reflects an increase from the prior year after a cost-of-living adjustment.
Several bond-funded facilities items are on the agenda.
Trustees will consider a $9,750 contract for a comprehensive assessment of tennis courts at Citrus Valley High School, Redlands East Valley High School and Redlands High School. The study will evaluate structural conditions, drainage, compliance with athletic standards and potential repair needs.
The board will also award a contract for fencing and drainage repairs at Crafton Elementary School. The project includes fencing improvements and repairs to an existing V-ditch.
In addition, trustees will formally accept completion of two previously approved Measure D projects:
Trustees will review an $87,100 agreement for Active Education to deliver structured activities through the district's Expanded Learning Opportunity Program at elementary schools. The program focuses on physical activity, social-emotional development and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Trustees will consider two stipulated expulsions involving students accused of robbery or extortion violations.
Both recommendations would expel the students through the first semester of the 2026-27 school year, with the second semester suspended.
