A monthlong investigation into an alleged road rage incident near Redlands led investigators to seize about 20 illegal firearms, 20,000 rounds of ammunition and suspected gun-making equipment.
🍊 The city of Redlands wants to hear from you. The City of Redlands 2026 Community Survey is now open to all adult residents through Aug. 26, offering a chance to weigh in on city services, neighborhood quality of life and the issues you think deserve attention.
The survey marks the sixth consecutive year the city has asked residents for feedback to help guide budgeting, strategic planning and policy decisions. Earlier this year, the Redlands City Council approved a three-year, $73,650 contract with civic engagement firm Polco to continue administering the survey, extending a partnership that began in 2021.
The survey asks about topics ranging from parks, public safety and city services to housing, transportation and the overall quality of life in Redlands. It is available in both English and Spanish.
Last year's survey found residents reported growing confidence in city government and continued to rate Redlands highly as a place to live, while identifying affordable housing, homelessness, air quality and water resources among the community's top challenges.

🚨 A Redlands police officer performed CPR on a 2-year-old child who was pulled from a swimming pool and not breathing during a birthday party, according to police. 🔥 The Redlands Fire Department, Redlands Conservancy and the Facilities and Community Services Department have partnered to install Fire Safety Awareness Signs at trail entrances in the Live Oak Canyon and San Timoteo Canyon areas. The signs encourage hikers and outdoor visitors to monitor wildfire conditions, identify secondary evacuation routes, stay hydrated and report emergencies by calling 911. Read more here:
