Trustees will revisit a proposed parental notification policy, discuss new requirements for balancing political viewpoints in school libraries and consider Measure D-funded campus improvements.
REDLANDS, Calif. — No injuries were reported after a fire heavily damaged a backyard shed at a Redlands home Monday evening, according to the Redlands Fire Department.
Firefighters responded shortly after 8 p.m. Aug. 10 to the 1300 block of Arlene Street, where they found a shed at the rear of a single-story residence heavily involved in fire. Crews also encountered downed and arcing power lines.
Firefighters quickly attacked the blaze and prevented it from spreading to the main residence or nearby structures. The fire was knocked down within about six minutes of crews arriving, according to the department.
Additional crews searched the residence and checked for signs that the fire had spread. All occupants safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters remained at the scene for about two hours conducting overhaul operations.
Damage is estimated at $25,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
