Aguilar announces $66.4 million for San Bernardino County Head Start programs
Federal funding supports early childhood education, including programs serving families in Redlands
Redlands High's Elisha deVera and Maddison Miner earn first-team honors, while ACA's Juliette Early also lands on the All-Inland Empire team.
Two Redlands High swimmers and an Arrowhead Christian Academy standout have been named to the 2026 All-Inland Empire girls swimming first team.
Redlands High seniors Elisha deVera and freshman Maddison Miner earned first-team recognition after helping the Terriers capture the Citrus Belt League championship with a perfect 5-0 dual-meet record and finish sixth at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Finals at Mt. San Antonio College.
Joining them on the first team was Juliette Early, a senior at Arrowhead Christian Academy.
On the boys side, Maksim Kutsner of Redlands High and William Dahnke, a junior at Redlands East Valley, were named to the All-Inland Empire second team.
deVera capped her Redlands career with a strong postseason performance despite a heartbreaking disqualification.
She finished fourth in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 finals in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.42 seconds but was later disqualified and officially placed ninth. She returned to place 10th in the 100 freestyle in 53.29.
She also helped anchor two Terriers relay teams that scored valuable points.
deVera teamed with Maddison Miner, senior Mackenzie Miner and Valerie Na to set a new school record in the 200 medley relay, finishing in 1:38.51 and breaking a 31-year-old school record.
She also joined the Miner sisters and Jiare Liu on the sixth-place 400 freestyle relay team, which finished in 3:39.85.
Na added a 10th-place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:08.00).
Miner had an impressive freshman season, placing sixth in the 200 freestyle in 1:32.49 and seventh in the 500 freestyle in 5:05.22 at the Division 2 championships.

Early led Arrowhead Christian Academy to a third-place finish in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 championships with 134.5 team points.

Early has signed to continue her swimming career at Cal State East Bay, an NCAA Division II program in Hayward.
Kutsner earned second-team honors after advancing to the Division 2 finals.
He finished ninth in the 100 butterfly in 55.21 after posting a 50.58 in the preliminaries. His season-best time in the event was 49.71.
Kutsner also teamed with Benjamin Licto, Anthony Gerges and Elijah Riggins to place 11th in the 200 medley relay in 1:38.49.
Redlands High finished 35th in the Division 2 team standings with 28 points.
Dahnke earned second-team recognition after setting a personal best of 1:44.52 in the 200 freestyle while finishing 12th at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 finals.
