REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands residents and visitors can once again enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Downtown's Morning Market, which reopens on Saturday, March 2, with new hours and a location change.
News hours and location: Redlands' seasonal morning street market is moving off State Street. It will now take place on Fifth Street, in between Redlands Boulevard and State Street, and in Ed Hales Park and the adjacent parking lot, the city announced in a press release Thursday.
The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
About 50 vendors will provide fresh produce, baked goods, hot food, and an assortment of handmade treasures, according to the market map.
Special programs: Attendees using EBT benefits can purchase tokens designated for purchasing fruits and vegetables. In addition, Market Match provides an $15 to customers for the purchase of fresh produce, promoting access to nutritious options within the community.
Background: Downtown's Morning Market, which began in March 2023, was initially held from 8:00 am to 11:30 am on State Street between Orange and Seventh streets. The City Council determined the expanded market's location on State Street after considerable debate among residents and local businesses. When it opened last year, the street market accommodated about 80 vendors.
Downtown's Morning Market replaced the longstanding Thursday night market that shut down in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Vendor information: Interested vendors are encouraged to apply via the city of Redlands' website.
