CIF Southern Section swimming prelims, finals set at Mt. SAC

Swimmers from the Citrus Belt League, Ambassador League and Arrowhead League will compete this week in the 2026 CIF Southern Section swimming prelims and finals at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.

Redlands High and Redlands East Valley boys and girls teams will compete in Division 2. Prelims are scheduled for 4 p.m. May 6, with finals at 3 p.m. May 8.

Citrus Valley, Yucaipa and Beaumont will compete in Division 3. Prelims begin at 9 a.m. May 6, with finals at 9 a.m. May 8.

Arrowhead Christian Academy, Loma Linda Academy and Cajon will compete in Division 4. Prelims are set for 9 a.m. May 5, with finals at 4 p.m. May 7.

Division 1 prelims are scheduled for 9 a.m. May 7, with finals at 10 a.m. May 9. Riverside Poly is among the competitors.

Among the top seeds in Division 2 girls events is Maddison Miner, a Redlands High freshman, who is seeded fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.60). Miner is also seeded sixth in the 500 freestyle (5:02.29). The Redlands girls 4x50-yard freestyle relay is seeded third (1:40.11), while teammate Elisha de Vera is seeded eighth in the 50 freestyle (24.54).

Redlands senior Maksim Kutsner is seeded third in the boys 100 butterfly (49.71) and third in the 100 backstroke (51.79).

In Division 3, Hunter Tamura of Yucaipa is seeded seventh in the boys 200 individual medley (1:59.77). Beaumont’s boys 4x50 medley relay is seeded eighth (1:42.62).

In Division 4, Arrowhead Christian Academy is considered a strong contender for the team title, while Loma Linda Academy also has several top seeds.

Arrowhead Christian’s girls 4x50 medley relay is seeded first (1:59.30), followed by Loma Linda Academy in second (2:00.92). ACA’s boys 4x50 medley relay is seeded fourth (1:46.75).

Loma Linda’s Myla Beuggon is seeded third in the girls 200 individual medley (2:18.73) and first in the 100 backstroke (1:03.12).

Arrowhead Christian senior Juliette Early is seeded second in the 50 freestyle (25.11) and third in the 100 freestyle (55.22). Teammate Grace Price is seeded sixth in the 500 freestyle (5:49.65).

ACA’s girls 4x50 freestyle relay is seeded first (1:48.10), while Loma Linda Academy is seeded ninth in the 4x100 freestyle relay (4:08.88).
