REDLANDS, Calif. — Accelerated Climate Action Now (ANCA) will host a free summer movie series at the University of Redlands featuring two films focused on environmental awareness and climate issues.
The series begins June 20 with a screening of The Human Element, an award-winning documentary by photographer James Balog that explores how climate change affects people and communities. The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in Gregory Hall, Room 161.
A second screening is scheduled for July 18 and will feature Pixar's WALL-E. The family-friendly animated film follows a small waste-collecting robot whose adventures highlight themes of environmental stewardship, connection and caring for the Earth. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Both events will take place at Gregory Hall, Room 161, on the University of Redlands campus. Parking is available in the Grove Street parking lot. Organizers plan to hold community discussions following each film.
