Three boys, two girls named to Inland Area track and field teams
Five local athletes receive Inland Area postseason recognition after standout seasons in track and field, including two first-team selections from Beaumont High.

Redlands East Valley High School softball catcher Jadah Nordby had a great season with the Wildcats in 2026 and as a result she was named to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 3 first team.
Nordby helped the Wildcats post a 16-11 record and finish third in the Citrus Belt League at 5-5 to gain a spot in the section Division 3 playoffs by batting a team-high .462 (36 hits in 78 at bats) in 26 games, leading the team in home runs (11), doubles (12), runs batted in (35), hits (36), and scored 12 runs herself. She struck out only 11 times in 78 at bats.
She also ranked No. 1 on the team in fielding percentage with 146 putouts on 152 chances, four assists and just two errors for a team-leading .987 fielding percentage. Nordby also led the team in on-base percentage (.538), and slugging percentage (1.038).
REV lost its Division 3 section playoff opener to Mira Costa, 9-7.
Meanwhile, Maddie Roark of Beaumont High School was named to the Southern Section Division 2 first team. The junior pitcher was the team captain. Roark helped the Cougars post a 17-11 record, finish second in the CBL at 6-4 and gain the section playoffs, losing to North Torrance, 5-0, in the first round. Statistics for Roark and all of the Beaumont team members were unavailable because the coaching staff did not publish game box scores or statistics on their players on MaxPreps.com or any other site.
Junior softball pitcher Brooklyn Dent was named to the All-Inland Area first team and her teammate Reece Van Arsdale, also a junior, was named to the second team announced by the Inland group of Southern California News Group.
Dent led the pitching staff with a 14-4 record and a 1.77 earned run average in 22 appearances as the Thunderbirds won the Citrus Belt League championship with an unblemished record of 10-0 and finished the season 21-7-1, after losing to eventual CIF Southern Section Division 1 champion JSerra in the first round of the section playoffs, 3-2. In that game, Dent was in the circle for six innings, allowed five hits and three runs, only one of them earned. Dent struck out 142 batters in 107 innings while issuing only 37 walks. Opposing batters hit only .172 against her offerings. She has played with the OC Batbusters Legacy Lara 18-under travel ball team.
Van Arsdale, an infielder, led the T-Birds in hitting with a .483 average and a .554 on-base percentage. She also ranked No. 1 on the team in slugging percentage (.882), doubles (11), triples (5), and runs batted in (28). She also had four homers, 42 hits and 24 runs scored in 29 games. In the field, she had 59 putouts in 69 chances with five assists and five errors for a .982 fielding percentage.
Note: Nordby and Roark were not chosen for All-Inland Area honors.
