Free two-day event in Smiley Park will feature juried artists, student art exhibits, live music, food vendors and hands-on activities for children.
REDLANDS, Calif. — More than 100 artists will showcase and sell their work during the 2026 Redlands Festival of Arts Live Show and Sale on Memorial Day weekend in downtown Redlands.
The free, family-friendly event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 23-24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Smiley Park, 125 W. Vine St.
Festival organizers said the event will feature juried fine art, live music, food vendors, children’s art activities and a beer and wine garden.
This year marks the festival’s 14th annual show. Fifty juried artists will compete for $6,000 in cash awards, while more than 60 additional local artists will participate in the Redlands Art Association’s concurrent “Art in the Park” event near the Redlands Bowl.
The festival will also host a Youth Art Expo featuring artwork from local K-12 students. The student competition is organized on behalf of the Redlands Art Association’s Margaret Clark Art Education Enrichment Fund, according to organizer Annette Weis.
Student entries are free and will be judged by professional artists for cash prizes. Festival organizers said chalk art competitions and hands-on activities for children will also be available throughout the weekend.
A live high school chalk art competition, organized by festival director Tracy Massimiano, will take place Saturday with the theme “Blue Boy in a Redlands World.” Visitors will also be invited to contribute to a community chalk art piece during the event.

“Our event draws art lovers and serious collectors, who buy a wide range of art including paintings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, metal, wood, ceramics, jewelry and more,” Redlands Festival of Arts Board President Lynn Whitmer said in a statement. “It’s a great family fun day for anyone who is young at heart.”
Organizers said proceeds from the nonprofit festival help fund grants for local youth arts programs and organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club, Micah House and youth art classes through the Redlands Art Association.
The festival will also feature live performances across multiple stages throughout the weekend and a lineup of food vendors offering Thai cuisine, coffee, lemonade, ice cream and other treats.
