Redlands voters returned City Council member Denise Davis to office for a third term Tuesday, while two school board victories are set to reshape leadership of the Redlands Unified School District.
Davis received 60% of the vote in the District 1 City Council race, defeating two challengers.

In the school board races, incumbent Patty Holohan won reelection in Trustee Area 1, while Ryan Schavrien won the open Trustee Area 2 seat.

Together, Holohan and Schavrien's victories shift the balance of power on the five-member school board following two years of contentious debates over district governance, books, flags and other issues.
Beyond Redlands, voters weighed in on a continuation of San Bernardino County's half-cent transportation sales tax and an $898 million community college bond. Congressional incumbents representing Redlands also won reelection, while races for county and state education leadership drew attention.
