Randomly selected households will receive survey invitations by mail, while a communitywide online survey will open later this month. The city recently approved a three-year, $73,650 contract to continue the annual survey.
REDLANDS, Calif. — Residents can get a preview of the long-awaited Museum of Redlands during a presentation next week at the Joslyn Senior Center.
Dr. Nathan Gonzales, archivist at A.K. Smiley Public Library, will present an inside look at the museum from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant St.
Gonzales will discuss the museum's 27-year development, explain how the current vision took shape and offer a preview of the exhibitions visitors can expect when the museum opens, according to a press release.
The Museum of Redlands is planned as a permanent home for the city's history, featuring rotating exhibits, historical artifacts and traveling exhibitions designed to appeal to visitors of all ages.
Among the inaugural exhibits will be a "Hometown Heroes" series recognizing individuals from throughout Redlands' history who have made lasting contributions to the community.
