Green Fire burns about 55 acres in San Bernardino Mountains north of Yucaipa

UPDATE (July 30, 10:30 a.m.): As of Wednesday evening, the Green Fire had burned approximately 55 acres and was 25% contained, according to Cal Fire incident command.
Three firefighters were injured while battling the Green Fire in steep, rugged terrain Monday evening, according to the Los Angeles Times. One San Bernardino County firefighter was treated and released after a terrain-related injury, while two Cal Fire firefighters remained hospitalized under observation Tuesday in stable condition after a loose rock shifted beneath them.
UPDATE (July 28, 9:25 p.m.): The Green Fire has grown to 55 acres and is 25% contained, according to CAL FIRE incident command. The fire is burning near Thurman Flats Picnic Area along Highway 38 northeast of Yucaipa, where an evacuation warning remains in effect for Zone MTH01.
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (July 27, 07:45 p.m.) — Firefighters are responding to the Green Fire, a vegetation fire that has burned about 33 acres northeast of Yucaipa near Thurman Flats Picnic Area in Mountain Home Village.
The fire was reported at about 5:42 p.m. Monday, July 27. The cause remains under investigation. The incident is being managed under unified command by CAL FIRE and the U.S. Forest Service – San Bernardino National Forest.
An evacuation warning has been issued for evacuation zone MTH01. Officials said the warning means there is a potential threat to life or property, and residents who need additional time to leave, as well as those with pets or livestock, should evacuate now.

The smoke column from the fire is visible from the City of Redlands' ALERTCalifornia wildfire camera at Redlands Municipal Airport, which faces the San Bernardino Mountains.
