Woman killed after being struck by utility trailer on Orange Street in Redlands
A 38-year-old woman died after being hit Thursday night by a utility trailer being towed by a pickup truck.
Commission advises city leaders on public works projects, utilities and infrastructure planning
REDLANDS, Calif. — The city of Redlands has extended the application deadline for residents interested in serving on the Municipal Utilities/Public Works Commission.
Applications will now be accepted through May 29. Commissioners are appointed by the City Council.
The Municipal Utilities/Public Works Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and provides citizen review and input on public works projects and facilities. The commission advises and assists the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director, city manager and other city departments on matters related to the management and operation of public works services and infrastructure.
The commission meets quarterly at 4 p.m. on the first Monday of January, April, July and October.
The position is non-salaried.
