REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Unified School District (RUSD) Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Sept. 9, to hear a presentation on Measure D and approve Middle School Safety Project agreements and school volunteers.
Here’s how the meeting breaks down:
Before the public meeting, the board will hold a closed session to discuss sensitive matters such as labor negotiations, personnel appointments, litigation and student discipline.
During the closed session beginning at 3:30 p.m., the board will discuss:

Reports will be given by the Redlands Teachers Association, the Educational Support Professionals Association and the Administrative Personnel Association.
Ken Morse, the director of Facilities Planning will give a presentation on projects funded through the 2024 voter approved Measure D bond. There will also be a revised adopted budget presentation.
During this time, individuals may address the Board on matters on the agenda. Speakers must submit a completed speaker slip to the Clerk or designated staff member prior to the start of public comments on agenda items. The allotted time will be announced during the meeting.
A public hearing will be held for the Statement of Assurance that all students were provided sufficient textbooks or instructional materials aligned with current content standards and curriculum.
The consent calendar groups together routine items for approval in a single vote, unless a board member pulls an item for separate discussion or a public comment is submitted.
