REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the Leadership Redlands Class of 2026, a 10-month program aimed at preparing the next generation of community leaders.
The program brings together up to 20 participants from business, government, education, nonprofits, healthcare and other sectors to explore key issues facing the region. Sessions are held at locations throughout the city and include meals, networking opportunities and exposure to local decision-makers.
Leadership Redlands “engages, develops and inspires the emerging leaders of Redlands through one-of-a-kind opportunities that shape their leadership mindset, allowing them to contribute to the future of their city,” chamber officials said.
The project requires a commitment of about one hour per week during early planning and up to three hours per week during implementation.
Katie Smith, a member of the Class of 2025, called the program "top-tier" and said it provided “a deeper understanding of how our city operates” and inspired her to get more involved locally.
Fellow classmate Marcus Seepersad said the program provided "amazing networking opportunities" and developing new proficiencies: "My leadership skills have been put to the test with the service project, and working to make the biggest impact on the community."
The tuition fee is $1,000, with limited scholarships available based on need and merit. Applications are due by Oct. 31, with interviews scheduled in November. The new class will begin in February.
