Thirty-five employees recognized during 38th annual Evening of Appreciation at REV High School
REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands Educational Partnership honored 35 teachers and classified employees from Redlands Unified School District during its 38th Annual Evening of Appreciation on May 6 at Redlands East Valley High School’s Blackstone Theater.
The annual event recognized educators and school staff for their contributions to students and the district. A video presentation highlighting each nominee’s accomplishments was featured during the ceremony.
This year’s Outstanding Teacher of the Year awards were presented to Paola Wagner of Citrus Valley High School, Mike Aranda of Redlands East Valley High School, Haley Sambrano of Clement Middle School and Paul Bush of Moore Middle School.
Additional teacher nominees honored included Anne Montiglio and Alyson Smith of Beattie Middle School; Jason Starr of Clement Middle School; Dorie Clark and Olivia Davison of Cope Middle School; Kathryn Bicher of Moore Middle School; Adrienne Ayala of Redlands eAcademy; Mark Perkins of Orangewood High School; Katie Mackenzie and Jerry Shearer of Citrus Valley High School; Vi Aranda, Paul Macomber and Eva Shinnerl of Redlands East Valley High School; and Cindy Fowles, Brandon Hansen, Matt Norman and Rose Sanders of Redlands High School.
Outstanding Classified Employee awards were presented to Micheal Craig of Redlands High School, Ronni Garcia of Citrus Valley High School, Brianna Shink of Clement Middle School and Patti Swogger of Redlands East Valley High School.
Additional classified employee nominees included Sharon Richardson of Beattie Middle School; Denise Zamora of Cope Middle School; Cindy Lujan of Moore Middle School; Cindy Duran of Orangewood High School; Jamie Green and Zach Simons of Citrus Valley High School; La’Rena Garcia and Lizbeth Hernandez-Gonzalez of Redlands East Valley High School; and Stephanie Boisse and Marla Kirk of Redlands High School.
The awards are funded by Redlands Educational Partnership, the Eric Jacobson Memorial Fund, the Redlands Education Support Professionals Association and SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union.
The event also recognized 14 secondary school student artists whose artwork was selected for REP’s ArtsAlive! 2026 Secondary Schools Student Art Notecard Collection. The artwork will be displayed at the district office for one year and reproduced as notecards to support REP enrichment programs.
Student artists honored included Leilani Rivas, Sabrina Ruiz and Jennifer Elizalde-Nava of Redlands East Valley High School; Claire Speak and Abigail Sweeney of Moore Middle School; Riley Keller of Citrus Valley High School; Isla Palenscar, Josalinee Danthaitam, Victoria Delgado, Cesilia Alavez Valerio, Jude Fieldhouse, Katie Gutierrez and Alisa Okofo of Redlands High School; and Andrea Banaga Sandoval of Clement Middle School.
