Redlands Symphony Purse Party returns Sept. 24

REDLANDS, Calif. — Fashion and fundraising will come together this month as the Redlands Symphony hosts its annual Purse Party on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Museum of Redlands.

The event begins at 5 p.m. at the museum's Laura and Jack Dangermond Events Pavilion and Garden and features silent and live auctions of more than 100 purses, handbags, wallets, totes and other accessories.

Auction items include pieces from designers such as Kate Spade, Karl Lagerfeld, Tory Burch and Michael Kors, with options at a range of price points. Guests can also enjoy complimentary food and beverages during the event.

The Purse Party has combined fashion with charitable giving for the Symphony's education and community programs for about a decade. This is the second year the fundraiser will be held at the Museum of Redlands after moving to the venue in 2025.

Proceeds support Redlands Symphony education and community engagement programs, including OrKIDstra, which provides free orchestra performances for fourth- and fifth-grade students in Redlands, Yucaipa-Calimesa and surrounding communities. Funds also support OrKIDstra TO GO!, which brings smaller groups of musicians directly to local schools, and other community programs.

Tickets are $60 per person. Those who cannot attend can register online to participate in the auction remotely.
