REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, April 14 at 4 p.m. to discuss a warehouse and logistics center ban. The commission will also discuss a new sign promoting a future shopping center.

Consent Calendar
The consent calendar groups together routine, non-controversial items for approval in a single vote, unless a commission member pulls an item for separate discussion or a public comment is submitted.
On this agenda, highlights include:
Consideration of a request to establish a sign program and construct a 12-foot-tall pedestal sign. The sign face area is 24 square feet and will promote a future shopping center project located on the southwest corner of West Lugonia and New York Street.
Consideration of a one-year extension request to the expiration date of Commission review and approval for a 20,351 square-foot multi-family residential building at 211 East Olive Avenue.
An additional one-year extension request will also be considered for a 4.6-acre property at 1060 Nevada Street.
New Business
The new business section addresses larger or more complex topics requiring individual discussion and action.
Consideration of amending zoning regulations to prohibit new warehouses and logistics distribution facilities. The commission will also review a proposed amendment to add a section to the Redlands Municipal Code for new rebuilding provisions for existing warehouses and distribution centers. In November 2025, the Redlands City Council voted to direct staff to draft an ordinance that would ban new warehouse development citywide and limit how existing warehouses may be rebuilt.
