City officials give green light to outdoor activities as air quality concerns subside
REDLANDS, Calif. – The city of Redlands is resuming its Movies in the Park series, with the next screening scheduled for Sept. 21 at Brookside Park.
"The Marvels" will be shown at the event, which marks the resumption of outdoor activities following a temporary pause due to poor air quality from regional fires.
Pre-movie activities begin at 5:30 p.m., with the film starting at dusk. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
The event will feature food vendors and themed entertainment in addition to the movie screening.
"We encourage everyone to take part in the community activities that make Redlands a wonderful place to live and play," city officials said in a statement.
Outdoor activities, including field rentals, organized sports, and programs at city parks, resumed on Sept. 16 after officials deemed the air quality acceptable.
Residents can find a complete list of current offerings at City recreation facilities on the Parks and Recreation website.
