REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands residents can sample their way through local ice cream flavors and help crown a favorite when the Redlands Conservancy hosts its Ice Cream Challenge on Sunday, Sept. 20.

The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. at Historic Asistencia, 26930 Barton Road, as part of the fall opening of the historic site for Sunday Open Gates.

Local ice cream shops will compete in two categories: Best Vanilla and Best Specialty Flavor, with attendees serving as the judges.

Adult tickets are $10 and include 10 tastes and two votes. Children's tickets are $5 and include five tastes and one vote.

The Ice Cream Challenge is hosted by the Redlands Conservancy.
