Redlands Unified highlights gains amid academic, budget pressures
The 2026 State of the District highlighted rising graduation rates and new programs, but test scores remain below pre-pandemic levels as the district braces for financial cuts.

REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Forum will present an evening of classical guitar featuring local musician Laurel Harned on Feb. 11 at the Esri Auditorium.
The event, scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., will showcase compositions spanning from the Baroque period to the 20th century.
Harned, an accomplished guitarist and Redlands native, grew up on her family’s small organic farm outside the city. She began playing guitar at age 9 and currently studies with renowned guitarist Jack Sanders. She has won multiple first-prize awards in competitions and has performed in masterclasses with acclaimed musicians, including Ana Vidovic, Los Romeros, and Jason Vieaux. In 2023, she was among six young guitarists selected to perform in Manuel Barrueco’s “Pre-College Guitar Virtuosos” masterclass.
The performance is free to attend, and registration is available online or in person at the Esri Auditorium.
