Redlands Football Club returns to Dodge Stadium May 30 for the first time this season searching for their first win
After a 2 day, 2 game road trip, Redlands FC is home for the first time in 2026 this Saturday at Dodge Stadium. Their opponent? City SC, who they just so happened to face in their final home game last season. Here is everything to know ahead of kick-off.

Redlands will enter their first game at home with a 0-1-1 record due to a loss against FC Tucson and a draw against Stars FC. After two games in Arizona, it is safe to say everyone will be happy to be back playing in Southern California.
Winning at home has been a huge indicator of Redlands FC’s success through the club's first couple of years. Through the first two seasons, Redlands lost just two total games inside Dodge Stadium. Last year, however, saw them lose two games at home and settle for a draw in two others.
Head Coach Cody Carlson has much bigger goals for this season though, stating “I would love to protect our home turf and go undefeated at home this season.” If Redlands were to accomplish that, their playoff and division title chances would obviously rise. But it all has to start Saturday night.
City SC, like Redlands, enters their third match of the season looking for their first win after dropping both of their first two games. The club took down Redlands at Dodge Stadium last June, but have been outscored 4-1 so far this year after finishing 4th in the division with a +20 goal differential in 2025. They missed the playoffs by just two points in their inaugural USL2 campaign.
That makes this match all that more important for both sides, as ending the first quarter of the season off with a three game winless streak is not a recipe for success.
It gets late early during USL2 summers. With just 12 games on the schedule, teams like Redlands have to adapt quickly and keep up with their division rivals pace to stay in the playoff hunt. All of this has to be done with a group of players who have seen limited practice and playing time with each other.
When asked about these sort of challenges, coach Carlson said “It’s really about who is performing well at the moment and how we can get those guys into a formation and a lineup to be successful.” Carlson stresses it is a “work in progress,” but the team will no doubt continue to get better.
Moreno Valley native and current Cal State Fullerton midfielder Jose de la Torre is the player to watch for the home opener.
The Citrus Hill High School graduate is coming off a breakout sophomore season at CSUF where he was named Big West Midfielder of the year. He is expected to be the engine of the Redlands offense all summer long, and will be seeking to deliver on that expectation while wearing the #10 for his squad.
Kick-off on Saturday night is set for 7 PM at Dodge Stadium on the campus of Redlands High School. For more information and tickets, visit redlandsfootballclub.com.
