Terriers and Cougars exit playoffs while Thunderbirds move on to second round
Redlands High School’s boys’ volleyball team lost its CIF Southern Section Division 4 opener to Elsinore on Tuesday by a score of 3-1 in the Terriers gym.
The Terriers finish the season with a 16-8 record and second place in the Citrus Belt League with a 9-4 record. Elsinore was the Mountain Pass League champion.
Redlands posted an 18-9 record in 2025, 8-3 in the CBL, and reached the second round of CIF Division 5 play before losing to Kennedy of La Palma 3-0.
Meanwhile, Edison of Huntington Beach swept past CBL champion Beaumont High, 3-0, in Division 2, ending the Cougars season at 27-3 (12-0 in CBL).
Yucaipa defeated Don Bosco Tech 3-2 in Division 6 play and will host Polytechnic of Pomona (9-9) in the second round on Thursday (April 30).
The Thunderbirds finished fourth in the CBL at 5-5 (14-14 overall).
In other Division 6 action, Loma Linda Academy lost to Beverly Hills 3-1 in the first round Tuesday.
Cajon, the other CBL representative in the playoffs, was scheduled to play its Division 5 opener on Wednesday night (April 29) at Norco High.
