REDLANDS, Calif. — The Harlem Wizards, a touring entertainment basketball team known for its high-energy tricks and audience participation, will return to Redlands for a community fundraiser hosted by the Redlands Educational Partnership.
The event is scheduled for Friday, April 25, at Redlands East Valley High School, 31000 E. Colton Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the game begins at 7 p.m.
The Harlem Wizards have performed for more than five decades, combining basketball skills with comedy, crowd interaction and choreographed routines. The Redlands event will feature slam dunks, trick plays and interactive segments, including a pregame “Wiz Kids” warm-up and audience participation throughout the show.
The Wizards will face a team made up of Redlands Unified School District teachers, administrators and staff.
Proceeds from the event will support programs run by the Redlands Educational Partnership, including grants for teachers and school principals across the district.
“We are excited to welcome the Wizards back for another game,” said Mallory Mudge, chairwoman for the event. “The Harlem Wizards game is more than just a basketball show — it’s an opportunity for the community to come together, have a blast, and raise funds for REP programs in RUSD.”
Redlands Community Hospital is serving as a full-court sponsor for the event. Additional sponsors include the Redlands Police Officers Foundation, Neal and Joyce Waner, Hatfield Buick GMC, Diehl Orthodontics and Jovi’s Diner, which will offer food for purchase during the event.
Tickets start at $12 for students and $18 for adults when purchased in advance online. Reserved and courtside seating options are also available online, starting at $40.
Children ages 3 and younger are admitted free. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $18 for students and $20 for adults, subject to availability.
