REDLANDS, Calif. — Tennis players at Ford Park will soon be able to use the court lights for free as part of a lighting retrofit beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The City of Redlands is replacing lighting fixtures at the park's tennis courts and removing the existing light payment machines. The machines will be replaced with free push-button controls that allow players to turn on the court lights.

Work is expected to continue through Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Individual courts will close intermittently while crews replace fixtures, with signs posted each day identifying affected courts. The city said all courts will reopen and be operational at the end of each workday.
