REDLANDS, Calif. — A 1-year-old child was taken to a hospital after falling into a pool at a Redlands hotel Saturday, but authorities later reported the child was stable with no indication of major injuries.
Redlands police and firefighters responded Saturday, Aug. 22, to the Home2 Suites, 1342 Industrial Park Ave., where family members were performing CPR on the child.
Emergency crews found the child alert when they arrived. The child was transported to a hospital and later reported in stable condition, according to the Redlands Police Department.
An unlicensed driver was cited after her vehicle struck a teenage girl riding a scooter at University Street and Colton Avenue Saturday evening, Aug. 22.
The girl was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery reported Thursday afternoon, Aug. 20, at Cluck Kitchen, 27511 W. San Bernardino Ave.
The victim was eating at the restaurant when three men approached him and one grabbed a necklace from his neck, according to police.
The three men fled toward a waiting vehicle, and the victim attempted to chase them. During the pursuit, one of the suspects indicated he had a knife, although the victim did not see one, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Detectives are investigating a burglary reported early Friday, Aug. 21, at Cajon Pharmacy, 232 Cajon St. Police said the suspects pried open an exterior door but were unable to gain access to the secure area where most of the pharmacy's narcotics were stored.
A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run after police said he struck another vehicle and a fence in a parking lot in the 900 block of Palmbrook Drive Sunday evening, Aug. 23. A Redlands Police Department first-responder drone located the vehicle as the driver left the area, police said. The driver allegedly committed several additional traffic violations before he was stopped.
A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after police stopped a vehicle that was being driven without its lights shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24. Police said the passenger was also arrested after officers found oxycodone and a large tank containing compressed nitrous oxide gas.
