K–12 students invited to submit artwork for the Redlands Art Association’s annual Youth Art Expo during Memorial Day weekend at the Redlands Festival of Arts.
REDLANDS — Student artists from across the region are invited to participate in the Redlands Art Association’s annual Youth Art Expo, a Memorial Day weekend event that celebrates creativity among young people from kindergarten through 12th grade.
The exhibition will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 23–24, in exhibition tents on Fourth Street next to the A.K. Smiley Public Library as part of the Redlands Festival of Arts.
Students interested in participating must submit their finished artwork to the Redlands Art Association, 215 E. State St., between April 27 and May 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with a completed entry form. There is no entry fee.

Entries will be judged by a panel of professional artists, with prizes awarded for first, second, third and honorable mention in four grade divisions: K–2, 3–5, 6–8 and 9–12.
Two “Best in Show” awards will also be presented for K–5 and 6–12 categories.
Monetary awards will be presented at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, in the exhibition tent, and all participating students will receive a certificate.
Organizers say the event will also feature hands-on art activities in a nearby tent and encourage families to attend the free community exhibition.
Artwork will remain on display throughout the festival weekend, with pickup scheduled for Sunday, May 24, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the exhibition tent or May 26–30 at the Redlands Art Association gallery.
More information and entry details are available at the Redlands Art Association.
