Local legend Garner Holt reflects on career, launching new makerspace for students
The Redlands-based animatronics pioneer shares his story and gears up to launch Garner’s Garage, a makerspace to inspire the next generation of creative builders.
BEAUMONT – The Redlands High girls volleyball team defeated Beaumont 3-1 on Tuesday to win its third consecutive outright Citrus Belt League championship.
The scores were 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22.
Beaumont entered the match one game behind Redlands and could have tied for the title with a victory. It wasn’t to be.
Lauren Reiter on the final point sent a bump set to Kameryn Carpenter that Beaumont couldn’t handle, with the ball falling harmlessly to the ground.
Several Terriers dissolved into a heap on the ground while Terrier coach Corinne Flowers and her assistant Heather Wingo embraced. Two goofy junior varsity players exulted in the background, one undulating on the floor and the other bouncing up and down with her arms outstretched.
“Three-peat, three-peat,” the Terriers chanted.
