Series of small earthquakes shake Inland Empire Thursday morning
A 4.4 magnitude quake near Muscoy followed two earlier temblors in Rialto; shaking felt across the Inland Empire, including Redlands.
A cluster of earthquakes rattled Southern California on Thursday morning, with the strongest, a magnitude 4.3, striking in Muscoy around 9:30 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was followed by another 3.1-magnitude quake near Rialto around 9:36 a.m.
The mild shaking was felt across the Inland Empire, including San Bernardino, Redlands, Riverside, Hemet and Rancho Cucamonga.
About an hour earlier, two smaller quakes measuring 3.0 magnitude 2.8 struck near Rialto, the USGS said.
No significant damage or injuries were immediately reported.
