REDLANDS, Calif. — The streets of Redlands will once again fill with runners, walkers, and families on Thanksgiving morning for the annual Redlands Turkey Trot, a holiday tradition that blends fitness, community spirit, and philanthropy.
The 2025 event takes place Thursday, Nov. 27, at Sylvan Park in Redlands (N University St. and E Brockton Ave.), beginning with the Kids’ Fun Run at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K run and walk at 8 a.m. Participants are encouraged to register early through RunSignUp.com.
Registration ends Nov. 27 at 8:00am but only those who register by Nov. 25 are guaranteed a 2025 t-shirt.
Organized by the Redlands Educational Partnership Foundation and the Redlands Sunrise Rotary Club, the Turkey Trot raises funds to support local school enrichment programs and community service projects throughout the year.
Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome, from competitive athletes chasing a personal best to families taking a brisk pre-feast stroll. Many participants dress in festive costumes, adding to the lighthearted holiday atmosphere.
The 5K course winds through the University of Redlands campus and nearby residential streets before finishing back at the stadium. Awards are presented to top finishers in multiple age divisions.
Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted in the 5K, and parking is available west of the University and Brockton streets. Organizers recommend early arrival to allow time for bib pickup and warm-up.
