Stephens, Frayre claim Stage 3 victory, take GC lead at Redlands Bicycle Classic
Redlands, Calif. (April 10, 2026) - Lauren Stephens (Aegis x Leaders of Enchantment) and defending champion Eder Frayre (L39ION of
Redlands East Valley High’s softball team dispatched school district rival Redlands High 18-0 on Tuesday (April 7) to improve to 13-5 overall and 2-0 in the Citrus Belt League.
Meanwhile, Beaumont High and Yucaipa joined the Wildcats in a first-place tie at 2-0 with victories over Cajon and Citrus Valley respectively the same day by scores of 10-0 and 7-5.
Heading into Friday’s CBL contests, Cajon, Citrus Valley and Redlands are both 0-2.
In REV’s rout of Redlands, Olivia Moore bashed three homers and drove in six runs while Gabby Torres was 3-for-3 at the plate, scored twice and stole four bases.
Leylii Christensen had two hits, including a solo home run and three runs scored in a 17-hit attack.
Redlands was limited to just three hits, two of them coming off the bat of Kayla Knudsen. The Lady Terriers committed nine errors to help the REV cause.
Yucaipa outdueled Citrus Valley at the Blackhawks field, leading 4-3 after four innings and 6-3 after six frames and held off a last inning two-run rally by CVHS to win 7-5 and improve to 13-6-1 overall and 2-0 in league.
The Blackhawks are now 6-9 overall and 0-2 in league. Sophomore Presley Walker had two hits including a double and three runs batted in for the Lady Thunderbirds. Kya Nicholas chipped in two hits and two RBI.
Peyton Seevers, Reece Van Arsdale and Layla Waysz also had two hits for the visitors. Pitchers Brooklyn Dent and Emily Mendoza combined for nine strikeouts
Beaumont and Cajon were in a pitcher’s duel through five innings with the Lady Cougars holding a 1-0 edge. Beaumont than erupted for five runs in the sixth to take the shutout victory. BHS is now 13-6 overall and 2-0 in league while Cajon is 5-12, 0-2 in league.
No individual statistics were available from the game by either team.
