Quarterback Isaac Vitela and offensive lineman Landon Malotkoski named to CIF Southern Section Division 10 first team
Redlands East Valley High School quarterback Isaac Vitela and offensive lineman Landon Malotkoski have been named to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 10 football first team for 2025.
They are the only two football players from Redlands-area schools who earned all-section honors for this past season.
Both were vital to the Wildcats’ 6-5 overall record and a third-place finish in the Citrus Belt League with a 3-2 record in its first season of playing in its own on-campus stadium.
Vitela, a 5-10, 155-pound senior, was the passing and rushing leader for the Wildcats, completing 140 passes for 2,103 yards and rushing for 1,080 yards for a total offense of 3,182 yards, No. 1 in the CBL.
Vitela and Malotkoski served as two of the team’s captains.

Malotkoski, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound senior, anchored the offensive line that protected and blocked for Vitela’s running and passing.
Behind that line, Vitela was able to produce 22 touchdowns on the season, passing and running, and finished with a quarterback rating of 103.4. He averaged 289 yards passing per game and 6.94 yards per rushing attempt.
The work of the offensive line enabled REV’s balanced offense to average 193 yards per game passing and 183.4 yards per game rushing during the season. Adding in yardage on punt and kickoff returns, REV earned 4,566 all-purpose yards, 415 yards per game.
Longtime REV fans may recall the superlative quarterbacking of Armando Herrera, who set Wildcats season and career passing records from 2013 to 2016 that included the program’s state championship season of 2014.
Herrera currently ranks No. 3 in CIF Southern Section career pass completions with 745; No. 3 in career pass attempts (1,223); and No. 5 in career passing yardage (11,291 yards). He is also No. 7 in career TD passes with 119 during his four years of varsity football at REV.
