REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, Aug. 12, with a full agenda that includes plans for new single-family homes, a proposed veterinary clinic, and a commercial development featuring a hotel, drive-thru coffee shop, and car wash.

Here’s how the meeting breaks down:

New Business

The new business section addresses larger or more complex topics requiring individual council discussion and action.

Highlights include:

  • A public hearing to consider a request for revisions to Tri Pointe Homes development plans for 35 detached single-family residences. The project site is located on the east side of Texas Street approximately 500 feet north of Domestic Avenue. Changes include new architectural styles, such as Farmhouse and Prairie, site plotting adjustments, landscape plan updates and more.
  • A public hearing to consider Arivia’s Animal House’s request to establish a veterinary clinic within an existing 3,160 square-foot commercial tenant space at 1150 Brookside Avenue. The proposal does not include overnight boarding or any interior or exterior modifications.
  • A public hearing to consider various matters relating to a proposed single-family subdivision located at the northeast corner of Texas Street and Pioneer Avenue. The commission will consider a Socio-Economic Cost/Benefit Study, a request to subdivide the 4.3-acre site into 11 residential parcels and a request for site plan and architectural design approval.
  • A public hearing to consider reducing the street-side yard setback for a residential property at 27 Westwood Lane. The reduction would be from 25 feet to 15 feet to accommodate a proposed 500 square-foot addition.
  • A public hearing to consider approving a new commercial development proposal at 913 California Street by JD Fuel, LLC. The plan includes subdividing a five-acre parcel into three commercial lots and one lot for water quality purposes. The project features a 90-room, four-story hotel, a 1,450-square-foot drive-thru coffee shop and a 3,688-square-foot car wash.

The meeting will conclude with announcements and comments from the commissioners.
