Redlands girls volleyball loses in quarterfinals; ACA wins

The Redlands High girls volleyball team lost 3-0 to host Santa Margarita in the quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.

The scores were 25-16, 25-7, 25-8.

Redlands went 10-0 during the Citrus Belt League season to win its fourth consecutive league title en route to winning a school-record 31 victories against six losses.

Despite the loss, the Terrier season continues. All eight D2 quarterfinal teams qualify for the CIF-State Southern California regionals.

Redlands has gone 132-38 over the last five years under coach Corinne Flowers and has won 46 of 50 in the CBL, including a 39-1 record in the last four years.

ARROWHEAD CHRISTIAN DOWNS CANTWELL SACRED HEART OF MARY

The Arrowhead Christian Academy girls volleyball team defeated host Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary 3-2 in the CIF-SS D6 quarterfinals.

The Eagles (17-11 overall, 1-7 Ambassador League) advance to the semifinals where they host Pacifica at 6 p.m. Saturday.

ACA is led by Eva In’t Hout (2.9 kills per game, Victoria Bingaman (1.9) and Josie Wiers (1.7).

Emma Miller leads the team with 2.8 digs per set, followed by Charlotte Lee (1.9), and In’t Hout (1.5).

Haven Perrenoud has 127 assists.
