The new exhibit at the Redlands Art Association Gallery & Art Center showcases paintings, photography, ceramics, and mixed media—all created within a six-inch frame. On view through Nov. 21, 2025, the show features award-winning works by local artists.
REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Art Association Gallery & Art Center is showcasing its newest exhibit, the 6 Inch Square Show, now on display in the Featured Artist corner through Nov. 21, 2025.
Event coordinator Sandy Davies said the idea was inspired by other small-format shows, including a 9-inch-square exhibit in Albuquerque.
“We have the 14.5-inch Multi-Media Mini Show, but when we saw the 9 Inch Square show, we said, ‘We can beat that!’” Davies said.
The result is a collection of small works that span a wide range of media — including watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic, photography, glass, ceramic, and assemblage.
Prizes were awarded for the top four entries, judged by longtime RAA and community supporter Ron Stephany, who said he was impressed by the show’s creative variety.

Dubovikova said her entry stemmed from a series of horse paintings she originally created to decorate her husband’s office — now adapted into the smaller 6-inch format.
All works in the exhibit are available for purchase. The public is invited to view the show at the Redlands Art Association Gallery, 215 E. State St., downtown Redlands, open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
