GIRLS SOCCER

Redlands East Valley

Redlands East Valley powered its way into the championship game of the SilverLakes Winter Classic’s Glacier Division in Norco, but fell to Centennial of Corona, 1-0, in the title match. The Lady Wildcats defeated Ramona of Riverside, 5-2, and Patriot High of Jurupa Valley, 1-0, to reach the final.

REV takes a 7-1-3 record into Citrus Belt League play, hosting Citrus Valley on Jan. 6 and visiting Redlands on Jan. 8. Junior Maggie Whittemore leads the team with 25 points (eight goals, nine assists). Madison Allen scored the match-winning goal against Patriot.

Redlands High

Redlands High finished sixth at the San Gorgonio High School Tournament over the holidays. The Lady Terriers beat Jurupa Valley, 3-1, and University Prep, 3-0, before losing to Oak Hills of Hesperia, 1-0. Redlands then blanked Los Osos to reach the fifth-place match against Rancho Cucamonga. The match ended in a 1-1 tie, but Rancho Cucamonga prevailed 5-4 on penalty kicks.

RHS is 7-2-2 heading into league play, opening CBL play Jan. 6 at Beaumont, then hosting REV on Jan. 8.

Citrus Valley

Citrus Valley takes a 2-1-3 record into league play, visiting REV on Jan. 6 and hosting Yucaipa on Jan. 8.


BOYS SOCCER

Citrus Valley

Citrus Valley won two of three matches in the Blizzard Division of the SilverLakes Winter Classic in Norco. The Blackhawks opened with a 2-0 win over Glendora before losing to Alta Loma, 2-1, in the quarterfinals. CVHS closed with a 4-1 win over Heritage.

CVHS is 2-3-2 entering its CBL opener Jan. 6 at home vs. REV, then visits Yucaipa on Jan. 8.

Redlands East Valley

REV struggled in the Glacier Division. The Wildcats tied Los Osos, 2-2, in the opening match but advanced with a 4-3 win on penalty kicks. Sunny Hills of Fullerton blanked REV, 3-0, in the next round. REV then suffered a 6-1 loss to El Dorado of Placentia in its final match.

REV opens CBL play Jan. 6 at Citrus Valley, followed by a home match vs. Redlands on Jan. 8.

Arrowhead Christian

Arrowhead Christian is 9-4 heading into 2026. The Eagles host Loma Linda Academy on Jan. 7, followed by Linfield Christian on Jan. 9.

Redlands High

Redlands finished its pre-league season 7-3 with a 3-1 win over Carter High of Rialto. December wins also included a 5-1 victory over Pacific (San Bernardino), a 3-1 win over Arrowhead Christian Academy, and a 6-0 shutout of Notre Dame (Riverside).

Senior forward Henry Marshman leads the team with seven goals and four assists (18 points). RHS opens CBL play Jan. 6 at Beaumont (11-1-2) and plays at REV on Jan. 8.


BOYS BASKETBALL

Redlands East Valley

REV produced early wins in the Classic at Damien High in La Verne, edging Cathedral of Los Angeles, 68-65, and beating Math and Science Prep (Los Angeles), 87-72, before losing to Chino Hills, 91-60, in the Green Division semifinals. The Wildcats bounced back with an 80-67 win over Wiseburn-Da Vinci to finish third and improve to 15-2.

Demaj Moore leads the team, averaging 22 points and five assists per game. Dariel Bahamontes is averaging a double-double (18.4 points and 11 rebounds per game).

REV opens CBL play Jan. 6 at home vs. Citrus Valley (7 p.m.) and visits Redlands High Jan. 8 (7 p.m.).

Redlands High

Redlands went 2-2 at the San Bernardino Kiwanis Tournament. The Terriers defeated Kaiser (Fontana), 48-44, then lost to Palm Desert, 64-30, and Notre Dame (Riverside), 64-62, before closing with a 56-43 win over Vista Del Lago (Moreno Valley).

RHS takes a 7-8 record into CBL play, visiting Beaumont on Jan. 6 and hosting REV on Jan. 8.

Citrus Valley

Citrus Valley reached the semifinals of the Iron Division of the Classic at Damien High before losing to Calvary Chapel (Santa Ana), 76-54. Earlier wins included Don Lugo (Chino Hills), 66-56, and Western Christian, 62-48. CVHS finished third with a 71-52 win over San Dimas.

Carmine Amaya leads the Blackhawks at 21.9 points per game. CVHS visits REV on Jan. 6 and hosts Yucaipa on Jan. 8.

Arrowhead Christian Academy

ACA competed in the Emerald Division of the Classic at Damien and won one of four games. The Eagles lost their opener to Bakersfield, 71-45, beat Lakewood, 68-54, then fell to Golden Valley, 61-52, and Murrieta Valley, 68-52. ACA is 8-8 entering Ambassador League play.

Parker Distelberg leads the Eagles, averaging 19.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. ACA opens league play Jan. 7 vs. Ontario Christian and Jan. 9 vs. Linfield Christian.


GIRLS BASKETBALL

Citrus Valley

Citrus Valley is 12-4 and has won 11 of its last 12 games, averaging 44 points per game while allowing 37.

The Lady Blackhawks were scheduled to play Eisenhower on Jan. 3 before opening CBL play Jan. 6 at home vs. REV, followed by a game at Yucaipa on Jan. 8.

Redlands High

Redlands has won nine of its first 11 games — its best start in years. The Terriers beat Indio, 38-19, in their final outing before the holidays.

RHS hosts Beaumont in its CBL opener on Jan. 6, followed by a game at REV on Jan. 8.

Redlands East Valley

REV has had a rough start to the 2025-26 season, losing all 10 games while averaging just 18 points per game and allowing 60.

The Wildcats played Hillcrest in a nonleague game on Jan. 3 and open CBL play Jan. 6 at Citrus Valley, followed by a home game vs. Redlands on Jan. 8.

Arrowhead Christian Academy

The Lady Eagles are 9-4 heading into Ambassador League play, having won seven of their last eight games. ACA hosts Loma Linda Academy on Jan. 7 and Linfield Christian on Jan. 9.


BOYS WRESTLING

Redlands High wrestlers won two individual titles, a lower-division MVP award, and six top-five finishes at the Rattler Classic at Rancho Mirage High School, placing fourth in team scoring with 163 points on Dec. 13.

  • Luke Vo won the 126-pound division and was named lower weight MVP.
  • Micah Freimuth won the 165-pound title.
  • Bohdi Freimuth placed third at 113 pounds.
  • Theo Winchester placed third at 132 pounds.
  • Fifth-place finishes: Andrew Villapando (126) and Owen Landis (175).

RHS lost its CBL dual meet to REV by one point on Dec. 17. Redlands hosts Cajon on Jan. 7 and visits Yucaipa on Jan. 14.

Citrus Valley is 0-2 in dual meets, losing to REV 44-32 and to Yucaipa 46-22 in early December. CVHS visits Redlands on Jan. 7 and hosts Beaumont on Jan. 14.

REV is 3-1 in dual meets, beating Redlands by one point on Dec. 17, defeating Citrus Valley 44-33 and Granite Hills 51-24, then losing to Alta Loma 60-15. REV hosts Cajon on Jan. 7 and visits Yucaipa on Jan. 14.


GIRLS WRESTLING

Citrus Valley has two CBL wins, beating REV 42-41 and Yucaipa 60-24. The Blackhawks face Redlands on Jan. 7 and host Beaumont on Jan. 14.

REV’s Savanna Gutierrez finished eighth at 115 pounds at the Queen of the Hill Tournament at Corona High.

Former CVHS standout Gia Coons placed fifth at 235 pounds for Orange Vista. Coons was the CIF Southern Section Northern Division champion at 155 pounds last season and placed sixth at the state meet while representing Citrus Valley.

REV lost to CVHS, 42-41, and beat Redlands on Dec. 17 (score not reported). REV hosts Yucaipa on Jan. 14 after competing in a tournament Jan. 9 with Orange Vista, Rancho Mirage, Rowland and Silverado.

Redlands has lost dual meets to Beaumont (60-12), La Quinta (72-12) and REV (score not reported). RHS hosts Citrus Valley on Jan. 7 and visits Cajon on Jan. 14.


GIRLS WATER POLO

Citrus Valley

Citrus Valley won three games in its own tournament Dec. 12-13 before losing to Centennial of Corona, 18-10, in the championship.

CVHS (6-8) defeated Chino, 16-14, Norco, 15-10, and Riverside Poly, 6-5, in overtime. The Blackhawks open CBL play at home vs. Redlands on Jan. 6 and host Yucaipa on Jan. 8.

Redlands

Redlands is 4-7 after losses in the San Gorgonio Tournament Dec. 29-30, falling to Roosevelt, 11-5, and Indian Springs, 10-5. Consolation round-robin results vs. Indio, REV and Fontana were not reported.

RHS opens CBL play at Beaumont on Jan. 6 and hosts REV on Jan. 8.

Redlands East Valley

REV is 1-4 after losses at the San Gorgonio Tournament, falling 9-8 to host San Gorgonio and 9-3 to Edgewood. Consolation round-robin results vs. Cajon, Redlands and Indio were not reported.

REV opens CBL play at Citrus Valley on Jan. 6 and plays at Redlands on Jan. 8.
