Redlands Unified highlights gains amid academic, budget pressures
The 2026 State of the District highlighted rising graduation rates and new programs, but test scores remain below pre-pandemic levels as the district braces for financial cuts.
Annual showcase at Redlands High to feature top Inland Empire bands and RCC Marching Tigers
REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands High School hosts its 45th annual Preview of Champions marching band tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Dodge Stadium, 840 E. Central Ave.
The event will feature debut halftime performances from six Inland Empire high school marching bands and color guards: Redlands High, Citrus Valley, Redlands East Valley, Yucaipa, Temescal Canyon and San Gorgonio.
The evening will conclude with a headline performance by the world-famous Riverside City College Marching Tigers, whose nearly 200 musicians and color guard members have earned international recognition.
Admission is $10, with free entry for children under 5, Redlands High students with a Minga pass, and Redlands Unified middle-schoolers who wear their district music T-shirt or show student ID. Concession stands will be open with meals and snacks available.
