REDLANDS, Calif. — More than two dozen museums and cultural institutions across Southern California will offer free general admission Sunday, Feb. 22, as part of the annual Museums Free-for-All.
The region-wide event, organized by SoCal Museums, includes institutions from Santa Barbara to Orange County to Palm Springs, spanning art, cultural heritage, film, science and natural history.
“For more than twenty years, SoCal Museums members have come together annually to collectively open our doors and welcome the public,” said Cristian Hamilton, president of SoCal Museums and vice president of advancement at the Autry Museum of the American West. “We believe arts and culture should be accessible to everyone, and Museums Free-for-All has become a community touchstone.”
Participating institutions include the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, The Broad, the Getty Center and Villa, LACMA, the Skirball Cultural Center and the Palm Springs Art Museum, among others.
In Redlands, the Lincoln Memorial Shrine will once again take part in the initiative. The Shrine, located at 125 W. Vine St., is always free to the public but joins the event as an affiliate member of SoCal Museums.
The Free-for-All applies to general admission only and does not include specially ticketed exhibitions. Some museums require advance or timed reservations, and regular parking fees may apply. A full list of participating institutions and reservation requirements is available at socalmuseums.net/annual-free-for-all-2025/
The Lincoln Memorial Shrine is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. More information is available at lincolnshrine.org.
