REDLANDS, Calif. — LOOK Dine-In Cinemas in Redlands appears to be shuttered, based on on-the-ground observations and recent federal bankruptcy filings involving the theater’s parent company.

A moving truck was parked outside the downtown Redlands theater Sunday evening, and furniture and equipment were seen being unloaded onto the curb, according to photos provided by a local resident.

As of Sunday night, no showtimes were listed for the Redlands location on LOOK Cinemas’ website. Listings for the theater remained visible on Fandango as late as 7:45 p.m., though it was not immediately clear whether those screenings took place.

The parent company of LOOK Dine-In Cinemas, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Northern District of Texas on Nov. 14, 2024.

The most recent monthly operating report, filed Jan. 28, shows the company operating with significant debt and negative equity, with more than $9 million in total liabilities and approximately $7.4 million in negative net worth as of Dec. 31, 2025. The filing also shows substantial lease obligations as the company continues to restructure.

In a Jan. 12 court filing, LOOK Cinemas II said it will not pursue assumption of its master lease covering its three California theaters and plans to turn possession of the properties over to its landlord by Jan. 31. A later court hearing confirmed the company is authorized to continue operating only through the end of January, absent a new agreement with the landlord.

The bankruptcy filing does not list individual theater locations by name, and it is not yet clear whether the Redlands site has permanently closed or is temporarily shuttered as part of the reorganization.

The theater occupies the former Krikorian Premiere Cinema 14 site in downtown Redlands. In 2017, Texas-based Studio Movie Grill purchased the theater and rebranded it as a dine-in cinema offering in-seat food and beverage service. In 2021, after financial challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the theater transitioned into LOOK Cinemas, which rebranded once again as a more elevated, higher-quality moviegoing experience.
