What they’re saying: “This recognition of so many of our specialties validates the commitment we’ve made to providing world-class medical and surgical care,” Anthony Hilliard, the chief executive officer of Loma Linda University Health Hospitals, said. “These impressive U.S. News rankings make residents across the Inland Empire aware of our commitment to providing outstanding medical care, and that they can stay close to home for all their healthcare needs.”

Zoom out: U.S. News evaluated around 4,400 hospitals across the country to create their Best Hospitals 2025-2026 report. The rankings are intended to assist both patients and doctors when making decisions about where to seek care, especially for challenging conditions or elective procedures.

Data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, American Hospital Association, professional organizations and medical specialists are factored into the rankings. This year’s analysis also relied on risk-adjusted data from more than 800 million records of patient care.
