Volunteers will learn to share the legacy of Redlands’ historic mansion with visitors from around the world
REDLANDS, Calif. — Kimberly Crest House & Gardens is inviting community members to become part of its legacy as registration opens for the Summer 2025 New Docent Training Class.
Docents at Kimberly Crest are trained volunteers who guide visitors through the 128-year-old French château-style mansion, offering insights into its architecture, art, family history, and cultural significance as a nationally designated historic landmark.
The summer training course will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on select evenings—Aug. 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 and Sept. 3—at Kimberly Crest, located at 1325 Prospect Drive in Redlands.
Participants will receive in-depth instruction on the mansion’s history and be prepared to serve as engaging storytellers for guests of all ages. Organizers are seeking applicants with strong communication skills, a passion for sharing knowledge, and an enthusiasm for historic preservation and community engagement.
Those interested in joining the Summer 2025 class can fill out an interest form at Kimberly Crest.org.
