REDLANDS, Calif. — The public is invited to hear from one of the world’s foremost experts in breast cancer research during a free evening lecture at Esri on Oct. 28.
Dr. Olufunmilayo Olopade, Walter L. Palmer Distinguished Service Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago and founding director of its Center for Clinical Cancer Genetics and Global Health, will present “Reimagining a World Without Breast Cancer.”
The Redlands Forum, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Esri’s Building Q, will explore how breakthroughs in cancer genetics and individualized medicine are transforming patient care. Olopade will discuss the real promise behind genomic research, targeted therapies and equitable access to care—offering insight into how science is bringing the world closer to ending breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
A MacArthur Fellow and member of the National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Medicine, Olopade is internationally recognized for her pioneering work in breast cancer genetics and her advocacy for equitable precision health care.
