The Spinet hosts the Paris-trained soloist for an evening concert at First Congregational Church, Oct. 21, as part of his Southern California tour.
The public is invited to hear French organist Laurent Jochum perform at The Spinet music organization meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.
The event will feature the First Congregational Church Turner pipe organ in the sanctuary at 2 W. Olive Ave. This date is part of Jochum's organ concert tour in Southern California.
Jochum, a native of Thionville, France, and the son and grandson of liturgical organists, has had a 22-year concert career.
He has won several competitions including the International Organ Competition of Lorraine and has played at such prestigious venues in Paris as Cathedrale Notre-Dame, Saint-Etienne-du-Mont, La Madeleine and Saint Clotilde.
He is regularly the guest of major festivals in several French cities and has performed in many European countries, Canada and the United States.
