Results of DUI checkpoint in Redlands on Aug. 29, 2025
REDLANDS, Calif. — One driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and two others were cited for license violations during a DUI checkpoint in Redlands on Aug. 29, police said.
The checkpoint was conducted between 6 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of Brookside Avenue west of Eureka Street. A total of 388 vehicles passed through during that time.
Police said checkpoint locations are selected based on crash data and incidents involving impaired driving. The purpose is to promote public safety by removing suspected impaired drivers from the road.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
