REDLANDS, Calif. — Downtown Redlands rumbled to life Sunday as the Redlands Professional Firefighters hosted their annual car show, drawing thousands for a full day of classic cars, live music and family fun.
The event ran from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and featured a wide variety of vehicles, from restored vintage models and muscle cars to motorcycles and specialty builds. Attendees strolled among the displays, took photos and chatted with proud vehicle owners.
“This is our way of giving back and bringing people together,” an event organizer said. “The community turnout has been fantastic.”
Food trucks and local vendors lined the streets, offering everything from barbecue to shaved ice. A beer garden kept adults refreshed, and multiple live music performances provided a festive soundtrack throughout the day.
One of the day’s highlights was a guest appearance by pinstriping legend Von HotRod, who greeted fans and signed autographs.
The show also featured opportunity drawings, including a 50/50 raffle, with all proceeds supporting firefighter-sponsored charitable causes.
"This is our favorite local event,” said Redlands resident Tom Jeffries. “It’s family-friendly, supports a good cause and shows what this community is all about.”
Organizers said they were pleased with the turnout and are already looking ahead to next year’s show.
