REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands Unified School District is asking students, families, staff and community members to help shape how the district will spend state education funds through an online survey now open to the public.

Why it matters: Each year, Redlands Unified School District must create a plan outlining how it will spend state education funding to support student learning, well-being and equity. The plan, known as the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), is required by the state and is shaped in part by feedback from families, students, staff and community members.

The district is using a Thoughtexchange survey to gather feedback on which programs, services and support systems are making, or could make, the greatest positive impact on student success and well-being in Redlands Unified.

Participants are invited to respond to the question: What specific programs, services or support systems are making (or could make) the greatest positive impact on student success and well-being in Redlands Unified School District, and why?

After submitting their own responses, participants can rate ideas shared by others and explore themes that rise to the top based on collective feedback from across the district.

How to participate: The survey is available online at bit.ly/LCAP26-27 and will remain open through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17. Participants may submit as many ideas as they wish.

What they're saying: “We deeply value the voices of our community,” Superintendent Juan Cabral said in a statement. “Your input directly informs our LCAP priorities and ensures we remain focused on programs and services that have the greatest impact on our students’ academic success, well-being, and opportunities for growth.”

What's next: The district is encouraging community members to share the survey link with colleagues and others who may want to participate.
