Local restoration company takes top sponsorship role as iconic race prepares for 2026 event
The Blackhawks finished undefeated in Citrus Belt League play and earned the top qualifying spot for the CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoffs, which begin Thursday.
Citrus Valley High’s girls’ soccer team continued to dominate the Citrus Belt League, capturing its seventh-straight league crown with an 8-0-2 record.
The Blackhawks closed out their regular season with a 6-0 win over Cajon High and a 4-0 shutout over Beaumont High to gain the league’s top qualifying spot for the CIF Southern Section playoffs that start Thursday.
CVHS finished the regular season with an 11-1-5 record and were unbeaten in their last 12 matches. The team outscored opponents 39-9 and allowed only nine goals in 17 matches.
Junior Mia Moreno led the team with eight goals and eight assists for 24 points. Sophomore Juliana Atencio scored eight goals including a “hat trick” (3 goals) against Beaumont and had six assists for 22 points. Senior Ellie Caliva produced five goals and seven assists for 17 points.
Freshman Mia Marrero had five goals and an assist for 11 points. Sophomore goalkeeper Bailey Holke was credited with nine shutouts, 89 saves and only eight goals allowed during the season.

Citrus Valley will open CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoff play on Thursday, Feb. 12, when the Blackhawks face Don Lugo in the first round.
