In a 4-1 vote, council members backed the Live Oak Canyon development as a long-term investment in the city’s future. Supporters framed the warehouse as a “legacy” project, contrasting it with short-term gains like a new grocery store. Opposition questioned transparency, environmental impacts.
League champion Citrus Valley put seven players on the All-Citrus Belt League girls soccer first team, including offensive player of the year Juliana Atencio and league most outstanding goalkeeper Bailey Holke.
Atencio and Holke are freshmen.
Other Blackhawks making the first team are Maryssa Torres, Liliana Gonzalez, Ellie Caliva, Mia Moreno, and Natalie Gonzalez.

Redlands East Valley placed four on the first team – Carlee Fisher, Caitlyn Barnard, Devyn Barbee, and Rylee Howard. Fisher was named the league’s defensive most valuable player.
Beaumont landed three players on the first team. They were Sherlyn Flores Jimenez, Norah Miller, and Lexie Beitler.
Yucaipa put two on the first team – Mia Mares and Brooke Smith.
Rounding out the first team were Zamera Bruce of Cajon and Redlands’ Kayla Snyder.
